Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health - The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health offers comprehensive health services for women at every age. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals provides integrated health care across all medical specialties, serving the needs of women from young adulthood through childbearing and motherhood, to menopause and well beyond to end-of-life care. Maternity Package Plan - The Maternity Package Plan for mothers who deliver their babies at Maricopa Medical Center offers complete prenatal maternity care for one affordable price. The Plan offers parents the opportunity to make monthly payments for their maternity care.

Center for Healthcare Against Family Violence - The Center for Healthcare Against Family Violence is a comprehensive resource available to health care providers when caring for victims of family violence.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program - Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive medically supervised program offering exercise sessions, educational classes and emotional support. It provides many benefits for your overall health.

Diabetes Education Program - Do you have diabetes? Are you having problems keeping your blood sugar level in good control? We can help! We offer instruction through individual visits or classes, in English, Spanish and other languages.

Senior Adult Independent Living (SAIL) Program - Senior Adult Independent Living (SAIL) is the umbrella program through which the Area Agency on Aging provides case managed services to older and disabled adults and their families and caregivers. With funding provided mainly by federal and state resources, the Area Agency is able to help individuals receive the services they need.

Transportation Related Injury Prevention Program - Maricopa Integrated Health System provides toddler car safety seats for children over 20 lbs. and booster seats for children 40 to 100 lbs. or 5 to 8 years of age. Children admitted to Maricopa Medical Center, the Arizona Burn Center, or seen in the outpatient burn clinic or one of our Family Health Centers may receive car safety seats.

Family Services Initiative - In response to the needs of parents and children in Maricopa County, MIHS has launched the Family Services Initiative to (1) build a Family Learning Center and (2) implement a Pediatric Clinic Family Educator Program, based on Healthy Steps and Bright Futures.  After an initial community fundraising phase, MIHS will support operations in 2008.  The Family Learning Center, as well as all patient care tools and residency curricula developed through the Initiative, will be freely available to other community agencies, residency programs, and health systems.  The Initiative builds MIHS’ capacity to help all health systems integrate the emerging science of early brain development in patient care and fulfill its obligation, as the Maricopa Special Health Care District, to be responsive to the needs of low-income children and families.

MIHS Programs…

Financial Assistance Program - At Maricopa Integrated Health System, we know seeking medical care can be overwhelming. That's why we have developed a program to help you deal with the financial stress of paying for the health care you deserve.  MIHS' Financial Assistance Program is designed give you realistic payment options. Applicants must apply for, and be denied, AHCCCS to qualify for our Financial Assistance Program.

Arizona Primary Care Program (formerly Tobacco Tax Program) - This program provides prenatal care, primary care and preventive dental services at ten Family Health Centers located in the communities of Avondale, El Mirage, Chandler, Guadalupe, Mesa, Glendale and Phoenix.

Community Strength Project, a Ryan White Title IV Program - Since 1998, this MIHS program has focused on providing coordinated, culturally competent, family-centered medical care, access to clinical research, and support services to HIV infected women, infants, children, youth and their affected families. Primary medical care for adults is provided at the McDowell Healthcare Center and for infants, children and youth, at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Community Strength Project also helps pay for support services, like case management and childcare, that help clients get into care and stay in care. An exciting new service that Community Strength Project is providing is Rapid HIV testing for prenatal care and Labor & Delivery units in Valley hospitals, beginning at Maricopa Medical Center on July 1, 2005.
